My name is Jackie Edolo and I am the fourth grade teacher at St. Matthias School. I have been at SMS for three years now, but have been an educator for over 20 years.  I have taught all grades, from preK to even college level courses and have been in public schools, private schools, and tutoring companies. I have a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction. I love being a fourth grade teacher. To me, it is the perfect age where students are really starting to read to learn, and can discover so many new things about their world. One of my favorite moments in the classroom is when the students finally “get it” and realize that they can do hard things!  When I am not teaching, I am a wife and mom to two kids, a son and a daughter.  Being a mom has taught me much about patience, love, and acceptance. I use these three principles to help guide my teaching and classroom management.
