“Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play is serious learning. Play is really the work of childhood,” - Mr. Rogers.
Hi my name is Eva Adamski and I love being a part of the Catholic community of St Matthias. I have been a parishioner of St Matthias church for over 20 years. I have 3 daughters. My oldest graduated SMS in 2020 and my other two are currently in 5th and 8th grades. My journey at St Matthias has taken me from parishioner, to school parent and now educator.
I knew I wanted to be a teacher from the moment I stepped into my daughter’s kindergarten classroom to volunteer. I loved everything about being part of the school, from the excitement and curiosity of the students as they explored activities, the school community that I was now a part of and the feeling that I was doing something worthwhile. This inspired me to go back to school to pursue my degree & certification in elementary education.
It's important to me that my classroom is a welcoming place for students and parents. I want parents to be a part of their child's education. I feel the best way to do this is by keeping the lines of communication open. I believe our youngest students learn best through active engagement and play. I’m looking forward to helping to guide them as we grow in God’s love through social emotional learning.
Outside of school I love spending time with my husband, 3 girls and our German Shepherd Scout. Most weekends we can be found on a soccer field somewhere in New Jersey. I also love the beach, Christmas, coffee and all things Disney including the Avengers.
I am so excited to be the Pre-K3 teacher this year and I’m looking forward to getting to know each of my students and families. This is going to be a great school year!
